Vincent Mattiola, Assistant Director of Sailing

Vincent grew up sailing small boats and racing Hobie cats as a kid all over the Northeast. In college at the University of Pittsburgh, he co-founded the sailing team and helped acquire a fleet of boats for students to train and enter collegiate sailing events. His passion for sailing quickly evolved into big boat cruising, and he began volunteering & working as crew on yacht deliveries all over the East & West Coast, Central America, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Soon, Vincent began facilitating his own deliveries and charters as Captain, teaching offshore sailing, and introducing more people to the sport. Having recently logged his 50,000th nautical mile and 720th day at sea, he now holds a USCG 100 ton Master license. When not sailing, he loves climbing, SCUBA diving, mountain biking, cooking, traveling, and cleaning plastic out of the oceans. His favorite boat remains the Hobie 16, but these days he can be found sailing everything from cruising catamarans to racing yachts.
