ABOUT ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina

Located in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park between Piers 4 & 5, ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina, the newest marina in New York City, is currently under construction with new docks being anchored and a state-of-the-art wave attenuation system now in place. Construction will be completed in the Winter of 2015, with a grand opening spring 2016. A joint venture between majority owner SUTL Group and Edgewater Resources, ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina offers unparalleled water access to the local Brooklyn community, New Yorkers, and boating enthusiasts from around the globe.

With the calmest waters in all of New York Harbor thanks to its advanced technology and design, the marina will accommodate boats ranging from 16’ to 250’ for seasonal docking at facilities of the highest quality, a sailing club and school and a members-only Harbor Club. The project design was developed by the community’s desire for public access with extensive input from local waterfront experts, residents and not-for-profit groups. Two percent of marina services revenue will be dedicated to exceptional community programming that will make boating and kayaking available to residents of all ages, abilities, and incomes.

The first new marina to be constructed in New York Harbor in a generation, ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina is the realization of a response to a 2013 Request for Proposal issued by Brooklyn Bridge Park. Joint venture partners SUTL Group and Edgewater Resources were selected to develop and operate the marina because of their commitment to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s mission of making the waterfront more accessible to the public.

Arthur Tay, Chairman of SUTL Group, the visionary behind the ONE°15 Marina brand brings his expertise and experience that earned ONE°15 Marina Club Singapore the title of Best Marina and Yacht Club in Asia (2009, 2012-2014). “Boating and the water have long been passions of mine and I recognized an opportunity in Singapore, to bring the water and that lifestyle to a wider audience,” said Mr. Tay. “As we looked to expand the brand into international destinations we identified the perfect opportunity in Brooklyn with the vibrant, lush public spaces of Brooklyn Bridge Park and Manhattan skyline backdrop to open the water itself there to New York City. Boaters and water enthusiasts from around the corner and around the world will feel at home at ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina.”

The marina’s Community Dock will be one of the largest docks in New York City, making up nearly 25% of the square footage of dock space at ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina once completed. The Community Dock will offer free and affordable community boating, as well as a world-class facility where these programs can thrive. Free and affordable boating experiences will be coordinated by the Marina with its community partners, and a full program is in development.

“In New York City we are surrounded by water yet there are so few opportunities to interact with the harbor,” said Regina Myer, President of Brooklyn Bridge Park. “This marina with its robust free and low cost programming, makes the waterfront accessible in new ways to even more New Yorkers and puts Brooklyn on the map for the global boating community.”
